"In October I met with Zahavi in the national team and I asked him, 'How did you feel in Italy?'" said Peretz about the conversation with the striker that contributed to the comeback.
"He said, 'Give me any amount and I'm not going back there. In Italy they step on you and jump on you. I don't want to play there, give me everything, just don't play in Italy.' Yoni (Cohen) also told the same thing. We all had the same experience . We all returned to Israel after a year. It was short, but it is a very developing and very enjoyable experience."

Peretz recalls how "I started the season quite well, then I got injured in the team and was out of the rotation."
According to him, "The coach marked me with an X, and it lasted almost until the end of the season, almost until he was fired. I felt that I fell not because of ability, but because of a coach. I didn't want my European career to fall just because of a coach who didn't like me. Will I consider returning to Europe in the future? Everything It's possible. Everything can happen. I have to do my best at Maccabi Tel Aviv, and I don't know where things will develop. I no longer have the big dream of going out in Europe, I'm in a different place in my career today, but if I give my all in the team, maybe things will happen Zahavi left Maccabi Tel Aviv for China at the age of 28, so you never know what will happen."
He said about his personal goals: "I aim for all the titles, team or individual. I have not yet won the title of player of the season, I have not been privileged to be part of a team that wins three championships in a row. It is true that these are grandiose goals, but these are the things I want to achieve."
